To beat or not to beat...
One day the doctor tells you that you have a dormant bacteria in your body that can become serious illness in the future, take away your life, and be very countagious for people close to you. Then, he decides that you have to take antibiotics for months and ask you to commit on taking one tablet every day. Then, a month goes by, you never skip any day because you are scared of this disease. Two months, three months, four months, you are still on the right schedule. On the fifth months, you feel really tired of those pills. Your classes drive you crazy and you've been very frustated because the time seems to be your enemy. With other things force you to work your best, they won't allow you to take care of yourself. Suddenly, your health becomes number 10 on your things-to do-list. And, you forget about the pills for a month and then the second time you miss another three weeks. Finally, you have time to re-consider about your health and that you should beat this disease in the first place, so it won't get in your way to achieve your dreams. But, what if, the nurse starts yelling at you and tells you that what you did in the past is just hurting yourself. As the result of it, the bacteria may have already been resistant to the antibiotics. And the choices are: stop taking the pills (now they may be useless anyway) or starting over again (hey, who knows ?). Then, you start wondering; why you are punished for being ignorant about your own health.
